Three Interrelated Truths

Three interrelated truths:

  1. Results happen through relationship.

  2. Relationships happen through communication.

  3. Communication happens through a set of behaviors.

It follows then, that if you want to improve your results, focus on the behaviors you demonstrate while communicating.  For instance:

  • Communicate with both direction and context.

  • Provide space for a thorough discussion of the issue at hand.

  • Proactively address the emotional needs of your team.

Better results come from healthy relationships come from thoughtful communication behaviors.
