Get a Global View of Your Calendar
From our ongoing fight to crush chaos in the events of our daily lives comes this simple reminder: get a global view of your calendar.
Not just your work calendar, but your social calendar, your meal planning calendar, your child(ren)'s sports calendar, your volunteer calendar, your vacation calendar, etc.
Sync them digitally, or map them all out of a wall calendar or whiteboard. The method is less important than the principle of having a "single pane of glass" on your commitments.
Spend a few minutes at the start of each week looking ahead to identify any impending trainwrecks.
Spend a few minutes at the end of each week to reflect on what worked, what didn't, and whether the pace you're keeping is sustainable.
Over time, you'll feel more in control of your time, which is the first step in crushing chaos.
If you benefited from this, please share.
